WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HYDRAULIC CHUCK AND A COLLET?

HOW DOES A HYDRAULIC COLLET WORK?
There is no such thing as a hydraulic collet, but there is a hydraulic chuck that operates differently from a collet. A hydraulic chuck is a specialized tool holder used in precision machining operations. The chuck uses hydraulic pressure to clamp a cutting tool in place, providing a strong and stable grip. When hydraulic pressure is applied to the chuck, hydraulic cylinders are activated, which presses a piston onto the back of the tool shank and locks it securely into place. A hydraulic chuck provides higher gripping force, greater accuracy, and better rigidity than most other types of tool holders, making it ideal for precision machining applications.
