MIL-DTL-83513 Micro D Connectors
The Sunkye family of TwistPin equipped Micro-D subminiature mil grade connectors to offer outstanding mating performance, durability, and minimal contact resistance. Sunkye Micro D type military pcb connectorsfeature high-density micro TwistPin contacts set on 1.27mm centers in arrangements from 9 to 130 contacts. They are available with insulated and uninsulated wire, PCB, solder cup and flex terminations and are supplied as MIL-DTL-83513 or commercial variations. The standards of our military power connectors include 83513 Micro-D and COTS connectors provide a reliable solution for all high-performance interconnect requirements including high temperature and hermetic applications.
MIL-DTL-32139 Nano D Connectors
The MIL-DTL-83513 and MIL-DTL-32139 specifications define the minimum acceptable performance levels for Micro-D and Nano miniature connectors. While the specs are rigid in their performance benchmarks, manufacturers are given considerable leeway when it comes to contact design, crimp fabrication, contact finish and materialselection. Stamped and formed contacts, for example, are widely used in Micro-d connectors due to their low cost and ease of manufacture. But independent testing clearly shows that Twist Pin style contacts provide superior performance in such areas as high-temperature tolerance, contact retention and crimp strength. If you have already made the decision to use either a Micro-D or Nano circular mil spec connectorbecause its ruggedized performance outweighs the potential cost-savings realized in a lesser-caliber connector, then you owe it to yourself to understand the very real differences between stamped pins and the Sunkye Twist Pin Contact System.
Twist Pin Connectors
Mil spec connectorswith reduced pin spacing (less than 0.381mm) can save product design engineers much-needed PCB real estate. Sunkye answers the call with a series of Micro D (1.27*1.1mm) & Nano D (0.635*1.02mm) metric sockets and pins headers available in vertical and right angle configurations, with SMT and through-hole termination.
All Sunkye connectors are MIL-DTL compliant and are assembled with precision machined Becu twist pins assembled into high-temperature insulators. Through the combination of right angle pin headers plugged into vertical sockets, customers can create perpendicular mate configurations.
