It is mainly used in the inorganic industry and is the basic raw material for the production of various potassium salts or alkalis such as potassium hydroxide, potassium sulfate, potassium nitrate, potassium chlorate, potassium alum and the like. The pharmaceutical industry is used as a diuretic and a drug for the prevention and treatment of potassium deficiency. The dye industry is used to produce G salts, reactive dyes, etc. In agriculture, it is a potash fertilizer. Its fast fertilizer effect, directly applied to farmland, can increase the moisture in the lower layer of the soil, and has the effect of resisting drought. However, it is not suitable to be applied to saline, alkaline land and crops such as tobacco, sweet potato and sugar beet. Potassium chloride tastes similar to sodium chloride (bitter), and is also used as an additive for low sodium salts or mineral water. It can also be used in medicine, scientific applications, food processing, and sodium chloride can also be replaced by a portion of potassium chloride in the salt to reduce the possibility of hypertension.
