KimaCell®HPMC F4M Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is used as a binder and disintegrant. Low-viscosity HPMC dissolves in water to form a clear to milky white viscous colloidal solution, which can be directly used as a binder. HPMC can be used to improve the compressibility of drug particles.HPMC is a kind of non-ionic cellulose mixed ether. It is a semi-synthetic, inactive, viscoelastic polymer, often used as a lubricant in ophthalmology, or as an excipient in oral drugs.

Application of HPMC F4M

KimaCell® HPMC F4M is widely used in pharma industry.

Sustained-release agent: With 2-3 grams per day, the feeding amount of each 1-2G will show effect in 4-5 days.

Encapsulation: the encapsulation agent is made into an organic solvent solution or an aqueous solution for administration of tablets, especially for the prepared granules to be spray-encapsulated.

Eye drops: Since the osmotic pressure of methylcellulose aqueous solution is the same as that of tears, it is less irritating to the eyes, so it is added to eye drops as a lubricant for contacting the eyeball lens.

Jelly: as the base material of jelly-like external medicine or ointment.

Dipping medicine: as a thickener and water retention agent.
