It is a salt derivative of hydrogen peroxide and has strong oxidizing and bleaching properties. Sodium percarbonate is often used as a bleaching agent, disinfectant and oxidant, and is widely used in household cleaning products, laundry detergents, bleaching agents, toothpaste and other products.
