Becauseregulationslimit the weight of solventper gallon of coating,formulatorsfavor theuseoflow-density solvents thathelpreduce the VOC content of a coating.

ThelowdensityandhighactivityofMIAKare significant advantages when formulatinglow-viscosity,high-solids coatings. Inaddition,MIAKisusefulasapolymerization solvent forhigh solids acrylicresins.
