Abrasive Material
What Is an Abrasive Material?
Being one of the largest abrasive material suppliers, we focus on the quality size distributions for different applications. Brown Fused Alumina: Two production lines of one Barmac crusher and one roller crusher can guarantee a stable supply for our customers.
Ten melting furnaces and three production lines can produce more than 10000MT per month for the market. Moreover, we installed one tube mill of White Fused Alumina to improve the Bulk Density and production capacity of abrasives sand in 2021, especially for the grit size #120, #150, and #180.
In 2017, we installed the production line of the high-temperature kiln to produce calcined or heat-treated Brown Fused Alumina and coated White Fused Alumina.
Abrasive Material Types
Fused Alumina
Fused alumina can be available for brown fused alumina, white fused alumina, black fused alumina, pink fused alumina, zirconia fused alumina by different applications.
Silicon Carbide
Silicon carbide is mainly available for black silicon carbide and green silicon carbide according to the detailed applications.
Abrasive Garnet
Garnet sand can improve the cutting strength: when cutting hard objects, waterjet cutting cannot be separated from the garnet sand abrasive. In order to produce a strong cutting force, garnet abrasive must be added to the waterjet.
Boron Carbide
In terms of physical properties, the hardness of boron carbide is only second to diamond and cubic boron nitride, and it can still maintain high strength at high temperature, which can be used as an ideal high-temperature wear-resistant material.
Tabular Alumina
Tabular alumina is also called sintered alumina, mainly used as the ideal raw materil in refractories industry.
Abrasive Material For Grinding Wheel
Abrasive materials pdf for grinding wheel are mainly ceramic alumina, zirconia fused alumina, brown fused alumina, white fused alumina and silicon carbide, are mainly used as abrasive raw materials. The abrasive grains provide the essential functionality of a grinding wheel because they remove material from the workpiece.
Properties of Abrasive Material
Refractory/Fireproof
Abrasive raw materials contain 94%-99% Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3) which makes it an material which resists high temperature, corrosion and has good thermal conductivity. It is an ideal raw mineral for shaped and unshaped refractory products and fireproof products, especially in steel making industry.
High Hardness
Abrasive material has about 99% Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3) which makes it have high hardness (Mosh 9). High hardness makes it an ideal material for cutting, polishing, grinding, sand blasting etc with more recycle times and not easy to break.
High Strength
Abrasive material contains Al2O3 and little content of Titanium Oxide(TiO2) and Iron Oxide(Fe2O3) and is a very tough material with 9 grade mosh hardness. This character makes it good for cutting, abrasives, polishing, lapping of various materials and can be used durably and recycled.
High Density
Abrasive material is a dense material with high bulk density and true gravity. It is used as a material in casting and water purifying processes.
