● Friction Bolts
Friction Bolts are typically steel tubes that are longitudinally split along their length. They are installed by inserting them into predrilled holes in the rock. As they are inserted, the split portion of the tube expands, exerting pressure against the rock walls. This pressure helps to support the surrounding rock mass and prevent it from collapsing.
● Friction Bolts
Friction bolts, also known as friction rock bolts or expansion shell bolts, are another component of Friction Bolt mining systems. These bolts consist of a steel rod with an expandable shell at one end. Similar to Friction Bolts, friction bolts are installed by inserting them into predrilled holes in the rock. Once in place, the shell is expanded, creating friction between the bolt and the surrounding rock, which helps to provide additional support.
