Aerogel insulation for passive fire protection
Aerogel insulation is designed to provide exceptional passive fire protection and excellent thermal insulation performance in a thin lightweight format.
Having tested the most stringent fire tests, Aerogel thermal insulation provides protection against hydrocarbon-based fires for up to 4 hours and fire protection against fire for up to 2 hours. It can also be used to meet API 521 requirements for the size of the pressure release system.
Our aerogel insulation combines leading thermal performance with universal passive fire protection. Possessing good hydrophobicity and breathability keeps the base assets dry longer, which provides excellent corrosion protection and maintains the process conditions under the most severe conditions.
Aerogel insulation offers a higher level of man-hour service, especially on large diameter tubes and skirts. It can be used in all weather conditions and does not require curing time ensuring immediate protection of assets.
