Phenolic Floor Insulation
When it comes to the choice of floor heating insulation materials, phenolic insulation boards are gradually becoming the first choice in the market due to their excellent performance. Compared with traditional extruded boards, phenolic insulation boards have significant advantages in thermal insulation performance, fire resistance, environmental protection and service life, providing a strong guarantee for the stable and efficient operation of floor heating systems.
First of all, the thermal conductivity of phenolic insulation boardis as low as 0.021W/m·K, Phenolic insulation board has the same R-value and thermal insulation effect as PIR material and better fire retardant performancewhich is much lower than the thermal conductivity of extruded board, which is about 0.030W/m·K. This means that the phenolic insulation board can provide better thermal insulation effect at the same thickness, effectively reducing the heat loss of the floor heating system, thereby saving energy costs.
Secondly, phenolic insulation board has excellent fire resistance. It is self-extinguishing, will not produce molten droplets when exposed to fire, has little smoke, and does not release toxic gases, making it safe and environmentally friendly. In contrast, extruded boards tend to melt when exposed to high temperatures and release harmful substances when burned, posing certain safety risks.
