Oriented Strand Board also known as flakeboard , is a type of engineered lumber similar to particle board, formed by adding adhesives and then compressing layers of wood strands (flakes) in specific orientations. It was invented by Armin Elmendorf in California in 1963.[1] OSB may have a rough and variegated surface with the individual strips of around 2.5 cm × 15 cm (1.0 by 5.9 inches), lying unevenly across each other and comes in a variety of types and thicknesses., it's main raw material for soft and hard wood wood, paths of the fast-growing thinning materials, such as eucalyptus, cedar, cypress thinning materials. Its manufacturing process mainly is to must have the geometry of the flaking (usually 50 mm to 80 mm long, wide and 5 mm to 20 mm, 0.45 mm to 0.45 mm thick) after drying, sizing, directional paving and hot press molding.It usually used in House construction, door, flooring, furniture, container flooring, packing, decoration, etc . It has the following advantages: （1）Tight construction and high strength
（2 ）Minimum twisting, delamination or warping
（3) No rotten or decay, strong against corrosion and fire
（4) Water proof, consistent when exposed in the natural or wet environment
（5) Low formaldehyde emission
（6) Good nailing strength, easy to be sawn, nailed, drilled, grooved, planed, filed or Polished
（7) Good heat and sound resistant, easy to be coated
