Clean Room Filter Fabric
In a cleanroom, concentration of airborne contaminants is strictly controlled to avoid waste or accident during precision manufacturing process of sensitive electronic components, aerospace, pharmaceutical or healthcare industries. Air supply of the cleanroom is filtered via a system that’s certified and conforms to international regulations standard which also determines testing methods to classify filters in their respective categories. Therefore, an air filtration system with HEPA or ULPA filter is vital for achieving the desired classification of cleanliness.
Role of Filter Fabric In Clean Room
A complete filtration system in a clean room normally composed by the segments of pre-filter and HEPA or ULPA filter. The pre-filters have lower efficiency to remove relatively larger particles in the air which employed from outside environment. Air systems supplying air to clean areas should have HEPA or ULPA filters to prevent fine contaminants in order to reach certain air quality levels. In this application, lower pressure and high dust holding capacity of the filter media is important to pre-filters, whereas high efficiency consistence is more essential to HEPA or ULPA filters.
