KES - QM Contact Coolness Tester
It is used to measure and evaluate the contact coolness index "q max" (peak heat flux). When the skin comes into contact with fabrics, different amounts of heat are transferred, resulting in varying coolness sensations. This instrument can be used to evaluate fabrics with a cooling sensation in summer, as well as underwear fabrics with a contact cooling sensation in winter, and so on. In terms of features: It is designed by simulating the human touch feeling, which enables more accurate measurement of the maximum heat transfer amount. It also has the option to measure thermal conductivity and thermal insulation. For the measurement of thermal conductivity, the heat transfer performance is measured through the sample between hot plates with a fixed temperature difference. For the measurement of thermal insulation, the sample is placed on a hot plate with a fixed temperature, and the thermal insulation rate is calculated according to the heat loss of the sample. There are two measurement methods: the dry method and the wet method. The measurement cases cover various evaluations, such as the coolness of mattresses and the cooling sensation of cooling patches. It is equipped with a touch screen for data display and can automatically perform continuous measurements 10 times in a single test, which improves the measurement accuracy. It complies with multiple standards, including GB/T 35263 - 2017. It can also be connected to a PC for data output (optional). The qmax value is displayed using dedicated software, and the data is saved in CSV format, making it convenient for export and use.
