Testing Principle

The instrument employs the airflow method to determine the micronaire value (cotton maturity index). By applying controlled air pressure to a cotton sample, differences in air permeability due to varying fiber fineness are measured. This allows accurate calculation of the micronaire value, correlating with cotton maturity and quality.
