The 2-Station Seatbelt Webbing Abrasion Tester is designed to evaluate the abrasion resistance of seatbelt webbing materials used in lap belts, shoulder straps, and similar safety restraint systems. It simulates the wear and tear that occurs during long-term use, ensuring that seatbelt materials maintain their performance and durability.
Application
This benchtop-style tester allows operators to assess the decrease in webbing strength after repeated abrasion cycles. During the test, the webbing specimen is scraped against a coarse material for a specified number of cycles—typically 2.500 or more—and then examined for visible damage and tensile strength reduction.
The tester is ideal for automotive manufacturers, component suppliers, and research laboratories for quality control, product certification, and safety verification of webbing materials.

Test Procedures
Install the seat belt fabric sample in the fixture and ensure it is securely fixed.
Adjust the friction device so that it contacts the fabric properly.
