Test Procedures
Sample Preparation:
Select a representative sample of the material to be tested.
Measure the thickness of the sample to adjust the balanced beam height accordingly.
Setup:
Install the scratch tip in the middle of the balanced beam.
Mount the sample on the loading disc, ensuring the beam remains level.
Fix the standard weight and position adjustable weight to set the desired load.
Testing Procedure:
Rotate the sample disc counterclockwise; the scratch tip will create an arcuate scratch on the surface.
Record load, scratch spacing, and sample speed using the industrial computer.
Repeat as necessary for multiple samples or comparative studies.
