The 45° flammability tester consists of a control system and a combustion chamber. The sample is mounted on a sample holder in the combustion chamber at a 45° angle. The burner is positioned close to the sample, and the sample is ignited with a flame for a specified time before the burner is withdrawn. The burning behavior of the sample and the flame spread rate on the sample are observed to evaluate the ignitability and flame propagation performance of the sample.
Application
45 Degree Flammability Tester is used to determine the burning characteristics of textiles fabric under controlled conditions. This test method covers the evaluation of the flammability test of textile fabrics as they reach the consumer for or from apparel other than children’s sleepwear or protective clothing.
