PCD inserts can be used for cutting other non-ferrous metals such as aluminum alloys and non-metals such as fiber-reinforced plastics (GFK and CFK), hard rubber, wood, fiberboard, melamine resin polymer materials and fiber-reinforced metals (MMC).

95%-99% of the components of PCD (polycrystalline diamond) are carbon isotope C12, and its thermal conductivity is 50% better than natural diamond and 2 times faster than copper.
Diamond is a hard material, using a special high temperature and high pressure process, a tight layer of polycrystalline diamond can be pasted on the cemented carbide substrate.
