Cubic Boron Nitride, that is CBN, is kind of synthetic super hard material. With a high hardness ofhv7200-9800mpa, its hardness is justlower than that of diamond. Like diamonds, CBN is an insulator but an excellent heat conductor. The structureof the boron nitride formis similar toitof diamond, also known as cube boron nitride, c-BN, β-BN, or z-bn. It is widely used as an industrial drilling and grinding tool.
