Sock Durability Tester

Product Introduction:

Socks wear tester is a special equipment, mainly used to test the wear resistance of socks material. It evaluates the comfort and durability of socks by simulating the wear and tear of socks during wearing and rubbing, and is an important tool for quality control, product development and research in the textile and apparel industry.

Test principle and process:

The test principle of a sock wear tester usually involves fixing the sock sample on a specific device and conducting friction motion on the sample through a friction head in accordance with a preset trajectory and speed. After a certain period of friction, the wear resistance of the sample is evaluated by measuring the wear degree of the sample surface.

During the test process, the weight loss, strength loss and other indicators of the socks can be recorded and analyzed, so as to comprehensively evaluate its wear resistance.

Equipment type and features:

Martindale Wear Tester: This is a commonly used sock wear tester that uses a Lissajous curve motion trajectory to evaluate wear resistance by the friction between the friction cloth and the sample. Easy to operate, accurate test, widely used in textile industry wear resistance test.

Schopper wear tester: The wear resistance of the sample is evaluated by measuring the wear degree of the sample in the process of rotating friction using the rotary friction method. Suitable for wear resistance test of various textiles, such as cotton cloth, synthetic fiber cloth, etc.

Linear wear testing machine: Using linear friction, suitable for testing the wear resistance of various materials, including plastics, rubber, coatings and so on. Wide test range and high precision.

For the testing of socks, Martindale wear testers are preferred for their applicability and accuracy.
