Air Pressure Micro Switch GPS100
GPS100 Series Air micro switchis specially designed for the high-volume OEM market. Typical applications include boilers, hot water heaters, HVAC, and other industrial equipment.
These micro air pressure switchescould be customized set points and can be used to detect positive, negative, or differential air pressure.
A sensitive highly reliable snap action switch is used as the main switching position. The snap action switch can provide a high switching capability of up to 16A 125/250VAC.
Pressure Switch Working Principle
The basic working principle of a micro air switchis relatively simple. A pressure switch typically consists of a spring-loaded diaphragm that is designed to move in response to changes in pressure. This diaphragm is typically connected to a mechanical switch, which can be either normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC).
When the pressure in the system being monitored changes, the diaphragm moves and activates the switch. If the switch is normally open, it will close when the pressure reaches a certain level. If the switch is normally closed, it will open when the pressure reaches a certain level.
Once the air micro switch is activated, it can be used to control a variety of electrical circuits, such as turning on or off pumps, fans, or other equipment. Pressure switches are often used in conjunction with other sensing and control devices to provide a complete control system for a particular application.
In summary, the working principle of a pressure switch is based on the movement of a diaphragm that activates a mechanical switch in response to changes in pressure. When the ignition switch of the wall-hung boiler is in working status, the fan starts and form a negative pressure difference in the combustion chamber. The air pressure switch sends a command to activate the water pump, the water flow switch sends the command to the high-voltage discharger. After the high-voltage discharger initiated, another signal is sent to the gas proportional valve, then the gas proportional valve come into operation accordingly. GPS100 series air pressure switches are used as detection elements. It is interlock controlled with the gas proportional valve and the flue gas induction switch. Proportional valve only works under a certain negative gas pressure in combustion chamber. When the flue gas induction switch detects no exhaust gas for 5 seconds, air pressure switch will close the gas channel in time, to avoid gas leaking.

Micro Air pressure switch is usually applicated in traditional water heater, wall-hung boiler and HVAC devices for detecting the gas pressure and protecting relevant circuits.
