CLAD TUBE SHEET
In chemical production, any tube and shell heat exchanger is one of the most common unit operation equipment. But, the heat exchanger pipes must be combined with tube sheets, meanwhile, their connecting strength and sealing properties are very important. During the use, if there is a leakage around the combination parts due to medium corrosion, temperature, pressure, temperature fluctuations, etc, so the choice of high quality tube sheet is not to be ignored.
Performances of Clad Tube Sheet
For tube and shell heat exchangers, when single material can't stand the medium corrosion, the exchangers must use double metals tube sheets, clad tube sheets. Sometimes, even though there is only one medium corrosion, the tube sheet is larger and thinner, using clad tube sheets is less expensive than the whole precious metal materials. The clad tube sheets' properties are even higher quality in a way. The clad tube sheets are well-bonded. We need to think about the clad tube sheets as the first choice for the heat exchangers.
There are special metals for clad tube sheets including stainless steel-carbon steel, nickel and nickel-base alloy --carbon steel, etc.
