WidespanisaroofingandcladdingprofiledesignedtoprovideaneconomicalternativetodeeperBoxRibprofileswithoutlosingtheaestheticappealofasquareflutedprofile.ThetrapezoidalWidespanprofileoffersgreatercovering.Widespanroofsheetsareavailableinawiderangeofmaterialsdisplayingvariousstructuralproperties.Itshouldbenotedthattheloadspancharacteristicsareonlytobeusedasabroadguidelineaspurlinspacingisalsodependantonotherfactorssuchastheprevailingwindsinacertainarea,snowduringwinterperiods,thepresenceofdustandotherparticlesinindustrialareas,thetypeofstructurethatisbeingerectedetc..Wethereforerecommendthatanengineerisconsultedtodeterminethepurlinspacingforaspecificapplication.Widespancanbefactorycranked,curvedandbullnosedtovariousradiidependingoncustomer'srequirements.
Availabledimensions:
Widespansheetingisavailableinstandardlengthsupto15metres.Thepermissiblelengthtoleranceforthestandardlengthrangewillbe-+5mm.Sheetsoutsidetheseparametersareavailableonrequestandmightbesubjecttospecialpricingarrangements.Themaximumheightwhichcanbetransportedis4.3metres.Thisfactorshouldbetakenintoaccountwhenbullnosesandcurvesaredesigned.
Roofpitch:
WhenusingWidespan,therecommendedminimumpitchforroofslopesinexcessof30mis10.0ºandforslopeslessthan30mis7.5º.WhenWidespanroofsheetsareendlappedtheroofpitchshouldbetakenintoaccount.Theminimumendlapsforroofspitchesinexcessof15ºis150mmandforotherroofsaminimumof250mmisrecommended.Endlapsforsidesheetingshouldbeatleast100mm.Itisrecommendedthatendandsidelapsonlowpitchedroofsaresealedtoensurewatertightness.

Roofsheetsmustbelaidwithonecorrugationsidelapwiththenarrowfluteuppermostandshallbefixedthroughthecrestsofalternateflutestopurlinsusing57mmTopSpeedorTexscrewsintosteelpurlinsand90mmTexorTopspeedscrewsinthecaseoftimberroofs,allfastenersshallincorporate19mmdiabondedwashers.
Forverticalwallcladding(sidecladding)itisrecommendedthatthebroadflutedarefixedexternallywiththemainandsidelapfastenersintheweboftheflutes.Sidecladdingcanbefixedusing25mmTexorTopspeedscrews,allfastenersshallincorporate19mmdiabondedwashers.
