Metal Deposition
Broadband metal coated mirrors are good general-purpose mirrors because they can be used in a very wide spectral range from 450 nm to 12 microns,which are also insensitive to polarization and incident angle and provide constant phase shift, making them suitable for ultrashort pulse applications. However, their softer coating makes them more vulnerable to damage and special care must be taken when cleaning.
Dielectric coating

Ultra fast coating
The standard dielectric mirror coating will produce obvious dispersion effect on ultrashort pulses. The dispersion of materials and the interference effect between coating layers lead to the phase change at a specific wavelength.
