Precision tube drawing titanium carbide hard alloy guide wheel

Hard alloy titanium carbide guide wheels are critical guiding components used in the production of wire and tubular materials. These guide wheels are manufactured through powder metallurgy sintering using high-purity titanium carbide and a cobalt binder phase. Their surface hardness reaches HRC88, and their wear resistance exceeds that of steel guide wheels by more than 50 times. The roundness error is precisely controlled within 0.002 mm, ensuring smooth wire operation during high-speed drawing (up to 100 m/s) and preventing vibration or deviation. In stainless steel wire production, the use of these guide wheels can reduce the wire's surface roughness from Ra1.6 μm to Ra0.4 μm, significantly enhancing product quality. These guide wheels exhibit excellent corrosion resistance, remaining rust-free for over five years in humid environments containing chloride ions (such as those found in coastal factories), whereas conventional steel guide wheels typically last only three months. Their dense internal structure, with a porosity of less than 0.1%, effectively prevents coolant infiltration and subsequent internal cracking. During copper tube drawing, the friction coefficient between the guide wheel and the copper tube is as low as 0.08, which minimizes surface scratches and increases the product pass rate from 85% to 99%.
