How to Use Blue Tansy Essential Oil

Blue tansy essential oil is a versatile, vastly applicable essential oil obtained from steam distillation of the Blue Tansy herb. It probably won’t be incorrect to call this oil a miraculous ingredient, as it is an important constituent of almost every other healthcare product.

2 to 3 teaspoons of blue tansy essential oil mixed with ½ to 1 cup of water serves very efficiently as an insect repellent. Furthermore, this mixture can also be used to treat existing bites.

Wounds and Inflammation – An organic solution

Wet a cotton pad with diluted 2% to 3 % blue tansy essential oil and gently rub on the wound or affected area.

Precautions related to use of Tansy Essential Oil

Even though this oil is effective against many problems, if not used correctly, it may cause a few of its own. Blue tansy being an essential oil, should never be used directly as it is very strong. It must always be diluted with a carrier oil such as sweet almond or coconut oil. It must always be used in a concentration lower than 5%. 2%-3% is considered as the optimal range. Secondly, blue tansy oil can hinder or interfere with other medications. Hence, it is advisable to consult your doctor before using this oil.
