With developing of woven polypropylene material, a big part of sand bags are made by various types of woven pp fabric instead of by jute. Woven Polypropylene sand bagsare often manufactured in basic designs, with simple mark printed or even of plain white, dark green or black.

Woven polypropylene sand bag has been designed for decades and often applied as a more cost-effective alternative to traditional jute material. PP woven material offers more effective costing than traditional materials like hessian or canvas. But at meantime, it also offers durable and long lasting advantages under extreme weather conditions.

The common one with 70gsm would be the most economical type sandbag, which is widely applied for temporary flooding defense. For heavy duty applications, another type with 100gsm material would be more suitable choice which contains more UVI which protects the bags from breaking down in sunlight.
