Inside both the ends of the explosion proof socket and plug, it consists of several poles electrical contacts, after toughing all contacts, the over-current and short-circuit may produce spark, heat or fire in some case, if there is flammable gas or dust around the contacts, the contacts part can explode probably. Explosion proof plug and socket will not transfer the explosion to damage the ambient location.
