Spherical Lens Uses

Spherical lenses are widely used in security, automotive, digital cameras, lasers, optical instruments and other fields.TC Optics can supply different kinds of spherical lenses such as plano-concave, plano-convex, achromatic lenses. Aspheric lenses have a radius of curvature that varies with the central axis, maintaining good aberration correction. The advantage of aspheric lenses is that they can correct spherical aberrations caused by spherical lenses in collimated focusing systems. Spherical Lens Types

Plano-Convex Lens is the most common type of lens element.

Achromatic doublet lenses have significantly better optical performance than singlet lenses in visible imaging and laser beam manipulation applications.

Meniscus lens is a lens which has two spherical curved surfaces, convex on one side and concave on the other side.

Plano-Concave Lens is an optical lens with one concave surface and one flat surface.
