How Surgical Masks Work

Key Features of a Good Surgical Mask
BFE ≥ 95% or 98%
Bacterial Filtration Efficiency measures how well the mask filters bacteria. Higher is better.
Fluid Resistance
Important for healthcare settings where exposure to bodily fluids is possible.
Breathability
Masks should allow for comfortable breathing without causing strain.
Adjustable Nose Clip

Soft Ear Loops or Tie Straps
