Pure polyester/TGIC powder coating

Product description

This series of products uses saturated polyester resin and TGIC curing agent as the main base material to make thermosetting powder coating.

Product characteristics

  • Good adhesion, good mechanical properties, tough coating film, meeting high strength requirements;
  • Smooth coating film, high gloss;
  • Suitable for long-term outdoor exposure product coating, good outdoor durability;
  • Excellent over-baking resistance.

Application areas

Suitable for various long-term outdoor exposure product coating:

1.Household appliances:outdoor units of air conditioners, indoor appliances and lamps with high lighting conditions;

2.Construction industry applications:colorful curtain walls, door and window frames, ceilings with high lighting conditions;

3.Traffic facilities:highway guardrails and grilles; 3. Auto parts, sports facilities, fitness equipment, gas station equipment, and courtyard facilities.

Transport packaging

Carton packaging, lined with two layers of PVC plastic bags, net weight of each box is 20kg. Non-dangerous goods can be transported in various ways, but should be kept away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat, and contact with chemicals.

Hygiene and safety

Operators should wear dust masks during use to avoid inhaling dust, and minimize long-term contact between skin and powder coating. Paint attached to the skin can be washed with soap.

Powder properties

Specific gravity 1.4~1.8g/cm” (depending on the formula and color)
Particle size Depending on the purpose, the standard type has an average particle size of 35~40 microns, less than 10 microns powder <10%, greater than 100 microns powder <0.5%.
Volatile matter <1%
Softening point 60~95℃ varies depending on the color gloss
Storage stability Polyester/TGIC powder coatings should be stored in a dry, ventilated room below 35℃, and avoid direct sunlight. If stored in an air-conditioned room, the powder must be stored at room temperature or the same (temperature) as the spraying equipment before use to avoid moisture. Under this condition, the powder can be stably stored for 12 months. If it exceeds the period, it must be re-tested. If the result meets the requirements, it can still be used. Note: For low-temperature curing types and powders with a gloss of less than 40% (60″), the storage temperature should be below 30℃.

The above coating performance indicators may decrease slightly as the gloss decreases.
Spraying This series of products are suitable for the following spraying methods: corona electrostatic spraying; friction electrostatic spraying; electrostatic fluidized bed spraying; fluidized bed hot dip coating.
Coating thickness: Use between 40~150 microns, recommended film thickness is 50~80 microns. Average coverage: 10~12 square meters/kg, film thickness 60 microns (calculated based on 100% usage rate)
Curing conditions 200℃/10 minutes is recommended, and it can also be designed according to user needs: 160C/20 minutes, 180℃/10 minutes, etc.
