Biological Activity of N-Acetyl-DL-Tryptophan
1. Stable tryptophan supplementation activity
As a derivatized form of tryptophan, it can be slowly metabolized and decomposed in organisms to release DL-tryptophan, supplement essential amino acids, and participate in body protein synthesis and nitrogen balance regulation.
2. Antioxidant and anti-oxidative damage activity
It weakens the oxidative degradation of the indole ring through amino acetylation modification, exhibits stronger antioxidant capacity than ordinary tryptophan, scavenges free radicals, and reduces oxidative stress damage to cells and biological active substances.
3. Protein and biomacromolecule protective activity
It can stabilize the spatial structure of proteins and polypeptides, inhibit molecular aggregation, denaturation and hydrolysis, reduce the damage of external environmental factors to bioactive components, and maintain biological activity of biological preparations.
