Gold Chloride
Properties: Golden yellow to reddish yellow monoclinic crystal. Easily absorbs moisture and deliquates; easily be affected by sunshine; strong heat makes it decompose into chlorine, hydrogen chloride and gold; easily soluble in water and ethanol; soluble in ether; slightly soluble in chloroform. The relative density is about 3.9. Irritant.
Storage: Heat sealed in ampoules, and kept in cool and dry place.
Uses: Rubidium and cesium microdetermination. Alkaloids determination. Photographic industry. Red glass manufacturing. Gold plating, etc.
