Hydroxypropyl gamma cyclodextrin is a solution to insoluble or low solubility drugs(including plant extracts).Through molecular encapsulation,it could increase the drug solubility and control the release rate of the drug,increase the drug's bioavailability and reduce the toxic side-effets.
