Alkyl Ketene Dimer (AKD Wax)
AKD wax 1801 is a neutral sizing agent, which can directly react to fiber. AKD produced by Suzhou Tianma Specialty Chemicals Co., Ltd, with high content and Iodine value and low acid value, is more efficient sizing agent without organic impregnant, like toluene and so on.

AKD wax 1801 does not contain poisonous chemicals like toluene and so on owing to it is produced without impregnant. It is specially used in process of packaging paper for liquid food. It is easy for AKD to be emulsified. It can melt at 50-60℃. Usually we choose C-starch or cation polymer as emulsifying agent. It can be reduced to particles with uniform charge and be dispersed throughout a fluid by valve homogenizer.
During melting process, The temperature of meltage should be strictly controlled. If the temperature is exceed requisite value, The sizing function and stability of AKD emulsion will be affected. As same time, The pressure of the valve homogenizer should be kept stable in requisite value, because the process of the valve homogenizer will directly affect quality of AKD emulsion
