Duplex 2205 Pipe is an austenitic-ferritic stainless steel used for corrosive environments and is capable to resist localized corrosion such as pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. The austenitic-ferritic chemical composition results in mechanical properties that are able to cope with high stress conditions where to use of ordinary austenitic stainless steel will result in mechanical failure.
