Lejay Creme De Cassis Liqueur is the original blackcurrant liqueur and pioneer of the famous and delicious Kir Royal cocktail.

Tasting Notes:
Intense, fresh and tart blackcurrant with succulentcherry and plum hints.Rich, velvety texture with fullbodied blackcurrants that continue to open with hintsof cherry and plum, becoming more luscious withexotic zest, fruit jam notes and a final wave of crèmebrulee. Rich-dry balance led by blackcurrant notesand hints of cherry.

History of the Kir Royal:
CANON KIR – As the charismatic Mayor of Dijon from 1945-1968, Canon Felix Kir popularized vin blanc cassis by drinking Lejay Cassis with white wine. As a result of his vibrant reputation the drink was named after him. His loyalty inspired Kir to sign the trademark of his drinks name to Lejay in 1951.
