The Tabletop Xenon Arc Weathering Tester is used to check for property changes of materials and products caused by sunlight, temperature and moisture in a short period of time. The aging which, outdoor or indoor, may take place over months or years, such as fading, yellowing or loss of strength, can often be simulated within weeks inside a Sun Master.

It also effectively controls temperature and humidity to create periodic precipitation on the sample.
This comprehensive simulation allows for a thorough assessment of the impact of sunlight, moisture, and temperature on the degradation of polymer materials. Material aging encompasses fading, loss of light, reduced strength, cracking, spalling, chalking, and oxidation, among other factors.
The xenon lamp emits light that effectively replicates sunlight, while the water spray system reproduces rain's effects. Throughout the testing cycle, radiation energy and temperature remain under precise control. Typically, the test cycle involves xenon lamp irradiation at high temperatures and periodic rainfall simulations. This equipment finds widespread applications in various industries, including paint coating, automotive, plastics, wood products, adhesives, and more.
