The filter press feed pump is to supply slurry to the filter chamber of the filter press. The filtration speed of the filter press depends on the feed pressure, and the feed pressure is related to the strength of the filter press and the head of the feed pump of the filter press. Therefore, when choosing the feed pump of the filter press, in addition to considering the performance of the conveying slurry, the feed pump and the filter press must be matched with each other. Common feed pumps for filter presses include centrifugal pumps, screw pumps, roots pumps, diaphragm pumps and plunger pumps.The has the characteristics of high speed, small size, light weight, high efficiency, large flow, simple structure, no pulsation of conveying liquid, stable performance, easy operation and convenient maintenance. Therefore, except for special circumstances, centrifugal pumps should be preferred.
Pumps are used for fluid transfer purposes or as feeders for unit processes. When using pumps as feeders for equipments that develop head loss such as filters, SGB filter press feed pump is a better choice.
