Working Principle
The GX75 uses a xenon arc lamp to emit a spectrum closely matching natural sunlight, including UV, visible, and infrared radiation. A water-cooling system maintains lamp stability, while advanced filters adjust spectral distribution. The tester controls irradiance, temperature, humidity, and spray cycles via a touchscreen controller, enabling precise replication of diverse environmental conditions.
Test Principle
Materials undergo accelerated aging through cyclic exposure to light, heat, moisture, and rain. The GX75 simulates years of outdoor exposure in weeks by:
- Photo-oxidation: UV radiation breaks chemical bonds, causing fading, cracking, or embrittlement.
- Thermal Stress: High temperatures accelerate degradation mechanisms.
- Humidity/Rain: Moisture exacerbates hydrolysis and corrosion.
- Dark Cycles: Alternating light/dark cycles mimic nighttime condensation.
By adjusting parameters, the GX75 predicts material lifespans, aiding in R&D and quality control.
