Microbial Barrier Tester
Y/T 0471.5-2017 is a newly updated standard, which specifies the experimental method for evaluating the bacteria-inhibiting performance of the contact wound materials claimed to have bacteria-inhibiting performance. The bacteria-inhibiting test device can simultaneously meet the four test methods of wet bacteria-inhibiting, dry bacteria-inhibiting, semi-wet (dry outside and wet inside) bacteria-inhibiting, and semi-wet (wet outside and dry inside) bacteria-inhibiting.

Principle:
The sample was placed between two collets of a hemispherical glassware, a certain amount of standard bacterial solution was added to one side of the ware, and liquid medium was added to the other side, and the turbidity in the liquid medium was checked after a certain period of time
Or scrape the liquid to check for bacterial growth.

Test Procedures
Materials Preparation: Select suitable breathable packaging materials for testing.
Generation of Microbial Aerosols: Use an aerosol generator to produce microbial aerosols of a specific concentration.
Material Testing: Place the breathable packaging material to be tested into the testing apparatus, allowing the microbial aerosol to pass through the material.
Sampling: Use a six-channel filtration sampling device to simultaneously collect microbial samples from both the sample group and the control group.
Results Analysis: Evaluate the microbial barrier performance of the breathable packaging material by comparing the sampling results of the two groups.
