Quartz glass is a good acid-resistant material, its chemical stability is equivalent to 30 times that of acid-resistant ceramics, 150 times that of nickel-chromium alloy and ceramics. Its application in high temperature and concentrated acid is particularly remarkable, except hydrofluoric acid and 300 °C. In addition to the above phosphoric acid, it is not attacked by other acids, and is particularly resistant to attack by sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and aqua regia at high temperatures.
