Titanium carbide rods are suitable for complex processing
Titanium carbide round rods fabricated from hard alloys exhibit exceptional electrical conductivity, making them suitable for use as electrodes in electrical discharge machining. In the electrical discharge machining of precision molds, these rods ensure minimal electrode wear and high processing accuracy. They demonstrate superior fatigue resistance and are highly resistant to cracking under repeated impact loads, rendering them ideal for manufacturing tool components subjected to high-frequency vibrations. In the nuclear energy sector, their outstanding radiation resistance enables their application as machining tools for internal reactor components. The manufacturing process of these round rods is highly stringent, with strict control over the purity of titanium carbide powder (purity ≥99.5%) and precise regulation of sintering temperature (approximately 1500 °C), as each step significantly influences the final product performance. The finished rods possess excellent dimensional stability, with a coefficient of thermal expansion of only 6×10⁻⁶/°C over a temperature range of -50 °C to 300 °C—significantly lower than that of conventional metallic materials—ensuring dimensional precision of tools across diverse operating environments.
