It is widely employed as wear-resistant inserts in automotive molds, where it withstands prolonged high-pressure friction with minimal wear, thereby extending mold service life. Titanium carbide round bars made from cemented carbide exhibit oxidation resistance up to 800 °C, making them resistant to oxidative degradation in high-temperature cutting environments and well-suited for machining difficult-to-process materials such as high-temperature alloys.
