High-quality titanium carbide powder with low oxygen content of less than 1000 ppm
Titanium carbide powder can be mixed with other carbide powders (such as tungsten carbide and vanadium carbide) to form a multi-component composite powder, allowing for the customization of materials with different properties. For example, after adding 10% tungsten carbide powder, the bending strength of the sintered body can be increased by 15%, making it suitable for manufacturing parts that can withstand impact loads. The preparation methods of the powder are diverse, including carbon thermal reduction method and vapor deposition method, among others. Among them, the powder produced by the carbon thermal reduction method has a lower cost and is suitable for large-scale applications. In the mold industry, molds made of multi-component composite powder can be both wear-resistant and capable of withstanding impact, and have a wider range of applications. With the development of the new energy industry, titanium carbide powder is also used in lithium-ion batteries, serving as a negative electrode material. Its theoretical capacity is up to 350mAh/g, and the cycle life exceeds 1000 times. After the surface of the powder is coated with a layer of carbon, the conductivity is further enhanced, and the charging and discharging efficiency of the battery increases to over 95%. In the energy storage field, it provides a new direction for the research and development of high-performance batteries, promoting the progress of new energy technology.
