No car gas cylinder can be retrofitted with high-octane fuel, and cars designed to use high-octane fuel are required to use regular unleaded gasoline (ie 94%), which will cause problems. LPG is stored in liquid form because it is denser than gas 250 times lower, so it needs less space.
