The HS 5GE is a 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet Switch hub for FTTD desktop installation. HS 5GE is with 5 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 ports; as a switching hub, it shares 1 Ethernet cable with other 4 terminal devices such as computer, router or switch, etc..
As the main connecting devices in a LAN network, Etherent switches are one of the mostly applied network devices. If there are over loaded users, busy APPs and all kinds of servers in your LAN networks, and the network infustructure is never adjusted with the increase of above changes then the performance of the network transmission would be severely affected. The best solution would be the apply of a gigabit desktop Ethernet switch.
The function of switches is totally different under different network environments. It’s also different story between adding new switches under current network environment and replacing current switches with more ports. The point of using switches is to reduce and detect the data flows in the network, if one specific switch has to forward all the packets received under poor deployment, then the other switches will not be able to display their best performance and the transmission speed will also be affected. Overview
The HS-5GE series unmanaged switches are full gigabit switches which are specially designed for high forwarding network environment such as school, family, SMEs and mini monitoring. It has 5 10/100/1000Mbps adaptive Ethernet ports. All ports support wire-speed forwarding and the data rate is up to 1000Mbps. There is lightning protection to ensure smooth and stable operation. Auto MDI/MDIX is also available. No configuration is required, it will instantly operate as soon as you power it up.
