OSCOpticalSupervisoryChannelSFPfiberoptictransceiverwithintegrateddigitaldiagnosticsmonitoringfunctionalityprovidesaquickandreliableinterfaceforopticalsupervisorychannelapplications.Thediagnosticfunctions,alarmandwarningfeaturesasdescribedintheMulti-SourceAgreement(MSA)document,SFF-8472(Rev.9.4),areprovidedviaanI2Cserialinterface.TheOSCSFPtransceiverusesa1510nmDFBlaserandanAPDreceivertoprovideanopticallinkpowerbudgetof47dB.ThetransceiversatisfiesClassILaserSafetyrequirementsinaccordancewiththeU.S.FDA/CDRHandinternationalIEC-60825standards.Thetransceiverconnectstoastandard20-padconnectorforhotplugcapability.Thisallowsthesystemdesignertomakeconfigurationchangesormaintenancebysimplypluggingindifferenttypesoftransceiverswithoutremovingthepowersupplyfromthehostsystem.Thetransceiverhasabluebail-typelatch,whichoffersaneasyandconvenientwaytoreleasethemodule.ThelatchiscompliantwiththeSFPMSA.
