HuiGoo 'siConverter CWDM/X Coarse Wave DivisionMultiplexing (CWDM) Multiplexer/Demultiplexer (MUX/DEMUX)modules support ITU-T G.694.2 wavelengths between 1270nmto 1610nm in 20nm increments. CWDM/X modules areprotocol and rate transparent allowing different services up to10Gbps to be transported across the same fiber link.

The passive iConverter CWDM/X modules are available in 4and 8-Channel (wavelength) models, supporting a variety ofwavelength combinations and port configurations.

The 4-Channel CWDM/X features an optional ExpansionPort that can be used to cascade two MUX/DEMUX modules,doubling the channel capacity on the common fiber link. Forexample, two 4-Channel MUX/DEMUX modules can becascaded to create an 8-Channel fiber common link.

Two 8-Channel MUX/DEMUX modules can be cascaded tocreate a 16-Channel fiber common link using the CWDM/XBand-Splitter. The Band-Splitter module combines andseparates the lower CWDM channels (1270nm to 1450nm)and the upper CWDM channels (1470nm to 1610nm).

The CWDM/X features an optional 1310nm Pass Band Portthat allows up to 8 CWDM channels to be overlaid on anexisting legacy 1310nm network such as SDH or SONET(which normally operates in the 1260nm to 1360nm wavelengthspectrum). The CWDM/X also features an optional ExpansionPort that allows up to 8 CWDM channels to be overlaid on anexisting legacy 1550nm network.

The small and compact size of the CWDM/X modules yieldsone of the highest port densities in the industry. Using the 2Uhigh iConverter compact chassis, 38 CWDM/X modules can beinstalled, providing up to 684 connectors or up to 608 simplexchannels or 304 duplex channels.

HuiGoos'iConverter CWDM/X modules are passive devices that requireno external power. They can be installed in any iConverterchassis equipped with other iConverter media converters andtransponders to provide a multi-service platform capable ofdelivering Ethernet, TDM, SONET and other services acrossa CWDM fiber common link.
