How To Choose The Wheel of Pallet Truck
Generally, one pallet truck has one drive wheel and four steering wheels. Some pallet truck also come with climbing wheel. How to choose the wheel material, you need to consider not only the prices, but also the application site. We have three type wheels for your choice
Nylon wheels: Many customer think Nylon material is cheap, so the wheel quality must not be good. This is actually wrong information. Nylon material is hard, so it has high abrasion resistant. If you use pallet truck mostly outdoor or on some rough ground. You’d better chose nylon wheel. Otherwise, you may have difficult to move the pallet truck when it is full loaded.
PU wheels: PU wheel has a soft surface, when it contact with the floor, especially the flat ground such as the epoxy resin floor you can often see in the factory, warehouse, liebrary and so on, PU wheel will be your best choice. The soft contact between the wheel and ground will not produce noise like nylon wheel may have. Furthermore, PU wheel also have super abrasion resistance, can be used for outdoor as wheel. But PU wheel has higher cost, to use for outdoor purpose will be a little bit waste.
Steel wheels: These wheels are mainly used on some large capacity pallet truck so that the wheels can get higher strength. When this wheels are used, the outside of the wheel will be covered by TPE to reduce the friction between wheels and ground. Steel wheels are not so much used as Nylon wheel and PU wheel.
What Need To Be Pay Attention To When Ordering The Pallet Truck.
Before ordering, you need to be clear about following details:
Where shall you mostly use the pallet truck, this will decide which wheels will be the best choice.
What material you need to move. If just to move pallet or some large size package that come with foot, you can chose regular pallet truck. If you need to move some specified loads that do not come with foot, such as drum, paper rolls, you need to chose typical pallet trucks designed for these purpose.
When you need regular pallet truck, you need to be clear what is the pallet size you need to move. We have narrow type pallet truck and wider type pallet truck to used for European type pallet and US type pallet. Generally, European pallet need the fork width 550mm, while US type pallet need a pallet with fork size 685mm.
How To Know The Pallet Truck I Buy Is Good Quality Or Not?
Basically, a good quality pallet truck should be pump up and release properly under no load and under rated load, free movement on any ground, no matter rough ground or smooth floor, no oil leaking, no big noise. Most pallet truck won’t have any problem under no load. The difference will be found when a pallet truck be full loaded. A good pallet truck have self-balance function. With this function, the load can be well distributed on the fork and wheel. When the ground is not flat, the self-balance function can keep the loads stick on the truck without leaning or dropping.
